From spending endless hours studying, to raising the next generation of human beings, to being actively involved in the fight for social justice and equality...and the list goes on. We sometimes don’t make enough room for self-care. At this point in time, it is crucial to know that self-care is no longer an option nor luxury, but rather a basic necessity.

One of the greatest tools to exercise self-care just so happens to be plants. Plants are useful in numerous ways, including their essential oil form. Essential oils are the highly concentrated version of the natural oils in plants. Using distillation by steam or water, the plants’ roots, leaves, stems, and/or flowers are used to create the oil. The end result is a potent and powerful essential oil that embodies the plant’s healing properties, essence, and smell.

Essential oils have been used throughout history in many cultures for their medicinal and therapeutic benefits; they can be used for aromatherapy, as well as topically. Here I’ll share with you 5 Must Have Essential Oils to nourish your body, mind, and spirit
